Center for Development of Security Excellence

The Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) was established in March 2010 and serves as the premier provider of security education, training, and professionalization for the Department of Defense (DoD) and industry under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). Education and training is delivered to customers across the U.S. and internationally through a variety of methods to include instructor-led courses, eLearning courses, virtual environment delivery, performance support tools, and webinars. CDSE is responsible for administering the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program, Adjudicator Professional Certification (APC), Industrial Security Oversight Certification (ISOC), Physical Security Certification (PSC), and Special Program Security Certification (SPSC). CDSE education, training, and certification programs provide development, delivery, and exchange of security knowledge to ensure a high-performing workforce capable of addressing our Nation's security challenges.
