Center for Development of Security Excellence
Organization Description: The Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) was established in March, 2010 and serves as the premier provider of security education and training for the Department of Defense (DoD) and industry. Education and training is delivered to customers across the US and internationally through a variety of methods to include instructor-led courses, eLearning courses, virtual environment delivery, podcasts, performance support tools, and webinars. The Center is responsible for administering the DoD Security Professional Education Development (SP?D) Program, and the DoD Personnel Security Adjudicator Certification Program, two specialized certification programs designed to ensure that today's security professional is able to meet 21st century threat challenges. While the Center will continue the mission and functions of the Defense Security Service (DSS) security education training and awareness missions, the Center will also add the following: professional development services for DoD security professionals, postsecondary opportunities aimed to develop leaders within the DoD security community, and career development counseling and support for DoD security professionals.
