The briefing memo segment focuses on developing talking points intended to be spoken by the memo recipient during a meeting. The decision memo segment focuses on identifying the problem to be solved, developing options, constructing a logical and parallel assessment of the options, and providing a recommendation.

Source of Official Student Records:   All records are maintained in the USDA AgLearn system, including name of candidate and date of course. Course grades are maintained by the instructors.
How Results are Reported:   Students receive an email from the instructors with their final assessment and feedback from each segment from the course. Students may also access their records of completion and pass/fail on USDA AgLearn. Rating turnaround time is usually within 10 days.
Retake Policy:   Students who do not pass or complete any assignment during the course, may - with faculty concurrence and assistance and within two weeks after the end of the course segment - re-write the document to be re-graded. Faculty commit to working with students if they are willing and able to continue striving for success.
