Blue Card

Since its inception in 2008, the Hazard Zone Command Training and Certification - Blue Card Incident Command Training and Certification Program is designed to first instruct, train and then evaluate and certify Fire Dept. Officers who serve in the role of Incident Commander that supervise and manage emergency IDLH hazard zone operations for every day, local NIMS Type 4 and Type 5 events. The Blue Card training program provides Fire Departments with a training and certification system that defines the best Standard Command Practices for common, local, everyday Strategic and Tactical emergency operations conducted on NIMS Type 4 & Type 5 events. This training and certification program produces Incident Commanders that make better decisions that will potentially eliminate the lethal and/or costly mistakes that cause injury, death, and unnecessary fire losses in the local response area.

Source of Official Student Records:   All of the online testing and in-person hands-on simulation evaluations results are logged into and digitally stored in Blue Card's pripriatory, cloud based, record management system servers. 100% of any online training material viewed, testing, hands on evaluations, online CE, and in person training is documented and archived for the life of the student onto the system.
How Results are Reported:   Instructors and adminstrators have full online access to all student records in their designated region and student's have full access to their training transcripts once they have securely logged into the Blue Card RMS. Exams are instantly reported onto the data base and are available to both the student and instructors. For certification and recertification exam retakes, the student can instantly retake a first time failed exam. If the student fails the retake exam, they are locked out of the system for 72 hours before the can take a 3rd and final attempt at passing the exam.
