American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
The American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) is a not-for-profit corporation that offers national certification by examination to eligible applicants in the modality of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technology. The ARMRIT was formed to aid the progress of the profession of MRI Technology and promote the common interests of MRI Technologists; to promote high technical and cultural standards for the legal right to practice magnetic resonance imaging technology; to foster the study of magnetic resonance imaging technology and to encourage personal and professional development of magnetic resonance imaging technologists; and to support activities for the employment of magnetic resonance imaging technologists. The technologist is educated either formally through a college, a hospital program, and/or on-the-job training. Members of the Examination Committee of the ARMRIT draft the tests. The applicant is forwarded test information, after proving he or she is eligible to take the ARMRIT certification examination.
