Simi Valley Adult School and Career Institute

For 64 years, since 1936, Simi Valley Adult School and Career Institute has kept pace with exceptional community growth by providing an increasingly comprehensive range of academic and occupational programs.

Fulfillment of its mission of community service has also meant widening its scope of support and counseling resources to meet the changing needs of students and assist them in achieving their educational and career goals in programs such as: automotive technology, business and computer technology, early childhood development, high school diploma program, medical and dental programs, and welding & fabrication technology.

The Simi Valley Adult School Respiratory Therapy Program, established in 1974, is designed to enable students with limited time to pursue a formal education to become health care professionals whose knowledge, skills and attitudes promote consumer health and well-being.

Qualified program instructors must possess California respiratory care practitioner (RCP) licenses, registered respiratory therapist (RRT) credentials and years of clinical and teaching experience. Successful graduates include both returning students and those just beginning their postsecondary academic and career pursuits.
