Applied Professional Training, Inc. (APT) provides technical training services to telecommunications, electric power and gas companies throughout the United States and Canada, using industry experts who average over 20 years experience in their fields. APT provides in-house and after-hours training to increase customers' business productivity by helping them to realize the maximum benefit from their technical and management personnel. APT backs its programs with ongoing industry-specific course development. APT is registered as a provider of continuing education, license exam preparation, and short-term career training with the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE), an agency of the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs. APT's Fiber Optics course is internationally recognized by the Association of Communications and Electronics Schools (ACES), International (ACES, Int'l), and Fiber Optics Association (FOA) for certification of fiber optics technicians. Applied Professional Training's uniqueness stems from the background and experience of the APT President, Steve Blume. He has both engineering degrees and valuable experience in both the telecommunications and electrical power industries. While most training companies specialize in telecommunications, electrical power or manufacturer specific training, APT has the distinct advantage of having expertise of all these areas. APT has recruited only the best instructors, all of who have either advanced degrees or 20-30 years of hands-on experience in their respective fields. We add to this with intensive training by our senior personnel in the specific courses each instructor is to teach. The scope of our classes has expanded from our original offering of Electric Power Systems Operations, Fiber Optics Communications and FCC Licensing to now include Electrical Grounding Safety, High Voltage Protection for Telecommunications, Technical Perspectives for Electric Power Systems, National Electric Code, National Electric Safety Code, Fiber Optics for Electric Utilities, Telecommunications for Electric Utilities, Basic and Advanced Data Communications, Basic Electronics, Natural Gas Systems, Wireless Data and voice Communications, Packet Telephony and Data Communications for Managers. We have the capability to customize all courses to meet the specific requirements of the client.
