American Health Information Management Association

The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is a nonprofit professional association that represents more than 40,000 specially educated health information management professionals who work throughout the health care industry.

As a membership organization, the AHIMA fosters the professional development of its members through education, certification, and lifelong learning thereby promoting quality health information to benefit the public, the healthcare consumer, providers, and other users of clinical data. The courses are offered online and are accessible to students from anywhere and at any time.
