We work with federal, state, and local organizations to meet national consensus standards and develop needed curricula. We train firefighters, emergency service workers, military, and industry. WVU-FSE is also the official point of contact in West Virginia for the National Fire Academy (NFA) assisting emergency responders' opportunities to attend NFA courses.
WVU-FSE delivers approximately 500 courses annually to over 15,000 public and private responders. WVU was founded in 1867 as a land-grant institution.
