Inter-Industry Conference On Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR)

The Inter-industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR), founded in 1979, is an international, not-for-profit training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.

The I-CAR Vision is that every person in the collision industry has the necessary technical knowledge and skills relevant to their position to achieve a complete and safe repair.

I-CAR is an interindustry organization with strong representation from, auto collision repair businesses and their trade associations, major auto insurance companies and their associations, major vehicle makers, tool, equipment, and supply manufacturers, providers of technical education, training and research, and suppliers of related industry services such as independent appraisers, technical publishers, and recyclers.

I-CAR conducts extensive collision repair research and, using this research, develops and delivers technical training programs to professionals in the collision repair and insurance industries across the United States and Canada. Over 60 programs are offered covering topics including vehicle damage analysis, structural repair, non-structural repair, refinishing and mechanical. In addition, I-CAR provides a communication forum for anyone interested in proper collision repair.
