WSI-SRS Team is a paramilitary organization contracted to provide security services for the Savannah River Site, which is part of the Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear complex. The Training Division has programmatic responsibility for all Company training that includes six workforce training programs: Security Police Officer Training, Special Response Team Training, Central Alarm Station Training, Law Enforcement Constable Training, Canine Handler Training, Security Aviation Training, and Leadership Education and Development. Each program is based on a thorough analysis of the skills and knowledge required to perform the tasks associated with WSI-SRS security positions at the SRS that often mirror those found in military police, law enforcement, or commercial aviation.

The Canine Handler Training Program initial training provides the basics of canine care and use in the detection of explosive devices and narcotics. Trainee mastery of subject matter is determined by written tests, skill performance, and numerous scenarios that involve the canines at work.

The Leadership Education and Development Training Program focus is the basics of leadership as well as small unit tactical leadership techniques. The program is directed toward newly promoted Sergeants.

All training is delivered at the SRS by an instructional staff with extensive experience and skill-transfer from former law enforcement and military assignments.
